Fashion Muse....A Tribute...

Love this girl!! Edie Sedgwick is probably my all time favorite! Her style was iconic for sure and sassy! Edie loved BIG earrings, OPAQUE black tights, STRIPES, and BLACK eye makeup.
She was named an "IT GIRL", "THE GIRL OF THE YEAR" (1965), and Vogue magazine named her "YOUTHQUAKER". I love her style so here's tribute to the Factory Girl herself...

...Ok so before adding my pics I decided to check the date of Edie Sedgwick's death and..this is super spooky, but it was today (in 1971)!! Exactly 40 years today!
These sort of psychic things happen to me often but this one is pretty crazy...I mean what are the chances that I would be writing a blog tribute to someone on the actual anniversary of their death...crazy!!

Here's to you Edie...a tribute indeed!

Another small town girl...

So proud of this gal...it is so inspiring and uplifting to see what people you have known most of your life are creating....having grown up just down the street from each other, Nicole deserves all the success in the world...Her vintage inspired pieces are so beautiful and unique.

The pieces are inspired by vintage femininity while fusing modern elements and unusual millinery techniques. Oh Dina! was launched in 2008 while Nova Scotian designer Nicole McInnis was attending the fashion design program at Ryerson University. After studying millinery she fell in love with the art and began to create pieces that paid homage to the 40′s with a quirky twist.  Oh Dina! is now sold at fine boutiques across Canada.

Oh such amazing looks!

70 mile YARD SALE

So this past weekend was AMAZING!  I was able to attend the annual 70 mile yard sale on Prince Edward Island!! I am talking about 70 miles of yard sale after yard sale after yard sale...And so many great finds!
Many suitcases in many colors and all of them in total for under 20$ TOTAL! (These are only a few of them) Also two wonderful old typewriters.

I think my best find though was two vintage Coach leather bags....One satchel style (1$) and a messenger bag (2$)...they are beautiful and in amazing condition!! Couldn't believe it!

This yard sale may become a yearly road trip of a vacation!
