So...Charming Gypsy Vintage is on a bit of a road trip! I thought it would be easier to write a blog post or two while on the road but the Internet access has proved me wrong! Unfortunately I have been without wireless so it makes it a bit more difficult to write detailed posts with images! Thanks to my Blogger app I am able to write a post tonight and I am also able to keep my FEBPHOTOADAY going!!
I am currently in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia...we have been thrifting along the way and so far my best find has been an amazing pair of Frye boots!! Can't wait to share them with you all...unfortunately they are not in my size :( Enroute to Vancouver in the next couple of days but my shop travels well and is still open for business at www.etsy.com/charminggypsy
Thanks for stopping by and if this is your first time please check back again soon and feel free to check out previous posts!!
Bye for now!!

I (heart) Frye...
My love for Frye boots began when I scored an amazing pair of vintage Fryes at a local vintage shop...

I purchased them along with a pair of vintage Nine West cowboy boots for a total of 50$...Can you imagine Frye boots for 25 Dollars!?!?! What a dream...I bought these over 10 years ago (2005 I believe) and I still wear them today and just love 'em!
Here is a pair that a friend of mine received for Christmas this year...aren't they beauties!? I love the Frye logo detail at the top is...so awesome!

✰ The Frye Company was started by John A. Frye in 1863!! In Marlboro, Massachusetts.
✰ It is the oldest continuously operating footwear brand in America.
✰ The goal of Frye has always been to create footwear that is as beautiful as it is durable (that's the truth!)

✰ These Harness boots go down in history...they are classic and continue to be very popular.
✰ The Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. still has a pair of Fryes on display today after choosing them as one of the "items to best represent America during the Sixties."
✰There is an AMAZING short and sweet video called HOW FRYES ARE MADE on the Frye website...check it out here!

oh Gravity Pope...
I went out on Boxing Day to check out the sales in the hopes of finding a new, perfect pair of boots to replace a pair I have had for just over a year (they are in rough shape and are a staple accessory).
Alas, my shopping did not result in success...Of course, in the end, I ended up at a thrift shop buying some wonderful vintage finds which I will hopefully list at Charming Gypsy later this week...
Whilst shopping I did discover several pairs of boots which I fell in love with...however, my budget was not so much in love...Here are some of my faves that found on my excursion!!
GRAVITY POPE is one of my all-time favorite shoe shops in Canada!! I would love to walk in those doors one day and say, "I'll take one of everything!!"....
...in the meantime I will have to make some major decisions between all these boots below and many more!
Between Gravity Pope, rag & bone, and ANYTHING from The Frye Company...I'm completely at a road block in decision making... sigh...
