Mary Tyler Moore, it's your day!

 She first came to fame on 'The Dick van Dyke Show' playing the role of Laura Petrie in the 60s...and then there was 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' in the 70s which was the first television comedy about a single woman in the workplace and a huge hit of a show.

Many women copied Moore's trademark flip hair 'do....she was not only an inspiration to women for her independent role on television but also for her style.

Happy Birthday Mary Tyler Moore (December 29th, 1936)...here's to you!

oh Gravity Pope...

I went out on Boxing Day to check out the sales in the hopes of finding a new, perfect pair of boots to replace a pair I have had for just over a year (they are in rough shape and are a staple accessory).
Alas, my shopping did not result in success...Of course, in the end, I ended up at a thrift shop buying some wonderful vintage finds which I will hopefully list at Charming Gypsy later this week...
Whilst shopping I did discover several pairs of boots which I fell in love with...however, my budget was not so much in love...Here are some of my faves that found on my excursion!!

GRAVITY POPE is one of my all-time favorite shoe shops in Canada!!  I would love to walk in those doors one day and say, "I'll take one of everything!!"....

(at least I have my vintage Frye's which I love)

I paid $25.00 for these boots...6 years ago...and they are still kickin'! That's L♥VE!

...in the meantime I will have to make some major decisions between all these boots below and many more!

Season's Greetings...

A very Merry Christmas to all my Charming Followers and anyone else who may stop by today...I hope that you have all been able to enjoy a jolly time and continue to enjoy the Holidays!!
I definitely find it hard to not continue some traditions at Christmas (even though I haven't been with my family during the holidays for a few years now...) But some traditions of mine include:

• Chili on Christmas Eve...

This was made last night...definitely some great leftovers!

• Stockings...

These aren't actually ours...just cute.

• Elf and Love Actually

• The fake log on the tele...since I usually don't have a real fireplace...

• Bailey's in my coffee...delicious...

• And usually a Christmas photo in my Christmas socks and undies....which I will not share :)

All in all it has been a wonderful Christmas with my lovely guy and my cutie pie of pup, Lacey...we have made the most out of our hotel spent Christmas!!

SO I have been wanting to add Buttons to my blog for a while now and have finally succeeded!! Check down at the bottom of the left sidebar...there they are!! I feel like I can now check something else off of my business "to-do list"!
